Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She founded The Huffington Post, is the CEO and founder of Thrive Global as well an writer of 15 novels. Arianna Huffington is an author, television personality, philanthropist and also the proprietor and publisher of The Huffington Post. Originally from Greece she relocated to England when she was 16 and completed her studies at Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. The infamous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first president and she took it before the age of 21. As a conservative syndicated blogger when she graduated, she went on to become the voice of Huffington Post. The fame of Arianna helped to attract several prominent contributors to share their views on current events, politics and culture. Arianna first gained notoriety during 2003 when she volunteered in the California recall election replacing then Governor Davis. Alongside that, she also spearheaded an initiative in Detroit initiative to promote fuel-efficient automobiles. Her name was voted as the most influential women in media by Forbes in 2009 and was awarded the 12th place in this list. The same year, the Guardian named her on the Top 100 Media List. AOL Inc. appointed her President of their media company in 2011, after they bought The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post also included additional AOL brands, including Engadget AOLmusic Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli is the child of Konstantinos who was a journalist and management consultant. She was very close with her father. However, it was the relationship she had with her mother who formed her. She was a leader even in her early years. In the year she turned 16years old, she emigrated from the United States to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. While in college she joined Cambridge Union, a college debate group. The third female president and the first foreigner she served as the head for the Cambridge Union. She graduated in 1972 with the degree of Master's in Economics. After her graduation she worked as a columnist critic and an anchor on TV. Also, with Bernard Levin she appeared on an episode of Face the music.
